Vintage NORTON 8503 8000 Series Reversible Tri Style Door Closer NOS/UNUSED COND

Description

For sale is a Norton model 8503 door closer. I *THINK* this is 8503. I have a stack of three of these, and only one has the label, which has the second digit of the model scratched off, leaving 8*03. The 8503 seems to be the only model with this number in the 8000 series (the included paperwork just says "8000 series"). This is a regular parallel style closer, reversible with right or left hand mounting. Of the three I have, one says "statuary bronze" as the finish and is lighter than the others, and the other two are a dark brown/bronze color. I believe this dates to the 1980s era, and is in new old stock (NOS) condition. I have a large number of these I acquired from a hardware store liquidation, all of which are in unused condition, though may have some shelf wear to the boxes.
