    Vintage Jaques of London John Solomon 37.5" Wood Croquet Mallet w/ Brass Rings
    This auction is for a
    Vintage John Solomon 37.5" Wood Croquet Mallet w/ Brass Rings
    .  Believe this model was made by Jaques of London.  Features a solid wooden head fitted with brass rings, wooden handle with wind-on competition grip, textured end faces for protection and control, and John Solomon's engraved signature.  Believe the handle is made of ash wood.  Measures about 37.5" long, and the head itself is 9" x 2.5" x 2.25".  Item does show normal minimal surface wear from use but is sturdy and well-made.  Handle is not loose at all.  Grip is securely attached.  This rare croquet mallet is suitable for display or play at all levels.  Stay tuned as I have several other beautiful vintage croquet mallets.
