Vintage Forster Croquet Stakes - 2 - Grooved Wood 18 Inches Long x about 7/8 of and inch in diameter from Wilton, Maine.  This is a matching pair of solid wood stakes.  They were turned twice after the first picture so you can see 3 different views of the sides.
They are from a Forster set (see the last picture - this piece is not included in this listing - will be sold separately as part of the croquet set stand).
The stakes are in very good used vintage condition with no splits, cracks or chips.  There is just a bit of dirt residue on the pointed ends from normal use and some dark marks on one part of one stake (see the first 3 pictures).  There is very little wear on the top ends of the stakes - they must have been pushed in the ground rather than pounded in.
