Starrett No. 436 - 9" to 10" micrometer - .001" 9" - 10"

Here is a Starrett No. 436 - 9" to 10" outside  micrometer that is in excellent condition. The body of this micrometer has been used but the anvil and thimble have been replaced. There is a green card that says that it has just been repaired. The anvil and spindle faces are not carbide but look as if they were mirrors. This is demonstrated by the reflection of the dollar. This micrometer has been used so you will find a some cosmetic imperfections but nothing that will hinder its usefulness. Some of these imperfections are that the previous owner scribed some of his/her favorite numbers on both sides of this micrometer. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice used micrometer. The thimble spins easily without any hesitations. Smooth! The cardboard protective box has done a very good job of protecting this micrometer. It has some scratches, scuffs, and other minor imperfections suffered from doing its job. It is still solid and will continue to protect your micrometer for many years to come.
