Mul-T-Lock Model 46-Chrome Electric Strike Fail Secure With Bolt Knock Out, Faceplate 9" x 1-25/32", 8-16V AC/DC.
Fail Secure: Also called fail-locked or non-fail safe. In this configuration, applying an electric currentto the strike will cause it to unlock. The strike would remain locked in a power failure, but typically the mechanical lock can still be used to open the door from the inside. Powering the strikes by AC, will cause the unit to buzz. Powering the strikes by DC will result in silent operation, except for "click" while the unit is powered.
Fit For: new/replaced wood & metal door frame installations with mortise lock that has a deadbolt. Reversible plate.
For use with: locksets having up to 5/8" throw, based on 1/8" door gap.
